Mobitto - Location Based Services (@mobitto)

WHAT: Mobitto is a combination of both a context-aware social platform, with a state-of-the-art mobile application. It allows users to browse for the latest deals in their vicinity, taking their privacy into account. As an example, users can watch a movie at their favorite cinema and get some popcorn for free. For merchants, it enables the creation of real-time targeted offers, according to their needs. For instance, there is a movie starting in 30 minutes and only 15% of the tickets have been sold. Why not create a special promotion with 50% off? Or maybe offer some popcorn together with the ticket? The possibilities are endless! However, we are not another Groupon alike service. First, we focus on our users, their concerns, needs and desires. We aim at building sustainable communities among different niche markets (e.g., vegetarian restaurants). Secondly, users can choose what is interesting for them, what they are willing to accept, from whom and when. Third, we focus on social interactions. The service is built around a mix of game dynamics and social achievements! Details will follow up near launch...

WHO: Mobitto was founded by Eoghan Jennings and Jose Simoes

WHERE: The company is located in Madrid, Spain

Once integrated the Abuse Handling Framework will manage internal and external data streams about abusive behavior in your network and starts pre-defined escalations automatically where needed. InReal Technologies - Virtual Reality Simulator

Inreal
WHAT: The simulator enables its users to immerse themselves in any virtual world and move around freely within, whilst in fact they always stay at the same spot. The simulator consists of three parts.

1) Head-mounted display (HMD): A HMD is a display device worn on the head that allows users to experience stereoscopic vision (realized through two small displays)

2) Motion capturing system: Motion capturing systems record movement and interpret it, so that a user of the virtual reality simulator is able to see his hand rising in the virtual world when he raises it in the real world

3) Motion simulator: The motion simulator is a device of about 2m x 1,5m x 2m which the user climbs into. It conveys that the person inside is able to move around and turn around freely while he almost remains in the same place in reality (similar principle for example for treadmills or hamster balls). InReal Technologies developed a forward-looking technology that targets existing problems other approaches are facing and filed a patent for the underlying technology

WHO: InReal was founded by Thomas Schander, Moritz Luck and Mike Beyhs
